Lift Seeding Coulter Unit
To enable the use of both the new Evers Garron cultivator and the Kuhn seed coulter unit in a single pass, the question arose as to whether a system could be developed to combine these machines while keeping them as compact as possible during transport. A parallelogram system was developed in which the cultivator’s first large pressure roller and second small, hydraulically adjustable pressure roller retain their full range of motion.
By designing the entire system in SolidWorks, all of the machine’s movements can be simulated and optimized, ensuring that the combination is as compact as possible during transport and that all functions of both machines can be fully utilized. It is also possible to easily remove the Kuhn seeding coulter unit and, if necessary, attach a different implement in its place.
