Plowing with Kuhn
How does a maneuvering crew work?
A reversible plow turns the soil over and buries crop residues, giving you a clean seedbed. By reversing the plow after each pass, you plow back and forth in the same direction. Kuhn manufactures reversible plows in several series, ranging from the 103 to the 183 series. With a variable-width plow, you can adjust the working width to adapt the plow to the soil and your tractor.
What you can choose from Kuhn plows:
- Mounted tillers from the 103, 113, 123, 153, and 183 series
- Adjustable working width, to adapt the plow to the soil and tractor
- Various plow bodies for light and heavy soil
- The L On Land for teams on land (onland)
- Protection against rocks and obstacles
Which Kuhn plow is right for you?
Look at the tractor, the soil, and the fields
Start with your tractor: its horsepower and lifting capacity determine how many plow bodies you can pull. Next, consider the soil, because you’ll need a different plow for heavy clay than for light sandy soil. Finally, the size of the field matters: on larger fields, a wider plow is more efficient, while on smaller fields and narrow roads, a more compact one is better. If you want to plow without driving a wheel into the furrow, you can opt for an off-furrow plow.
