Harvesting Beets with Ropa
How does a self-propelled beet harvester work?
A beet harvester pulls the beets out of the ground, cleans them, and stores them in a bunker or loads them onto a transport vehicle. A self-propelled beet harvester, such as the Ropa Tiger 6S, does all this in a single pass and harvests six rows at a time. This allows you to cover many hectares per day with a single machine. The product lineup includes the Tiger 5, Tiger 6, and Tiger 6S; the Panther and Panther 2; and the Euro-Tiger V8-4.
What you can choose from Ropa's beet harvesters:
- Multiple models: Tiger, Panther, and Euro-Tiger
- Six-row harvesting in a single pass
- Self-propelled model with hydrostatic drive
- Variable row spacing, for different growing systems
- Features such as autonomous driving and camera surveillance
Which Ropa beet harvester is right for you?
Consider the number of hectares, soil type, and logistics
Start by considering the number of hectares you harvest per season. That determines whether a self-propelled machine is cost-effective, for example, in contract farming. Next, consider the soil type and the fields: on heavy soil and wet fields, load-bearing capacity and tire selection are important. Finally, logistics are a factor, because the capacity of the hopper and the beet discharge system determine how continuously you can work.
