Onion Technology
The MacLouis MLK is a reliable leaf-stripping machine for defoliating onions, pearl onions, chicory, carrots, and red beets, among other crops. Typically, the MLK leaf-stripping machine is mounted at the front of the tractor, with an onion harvester attached to the rear of the tractor.
This allows for both foliage cutting and harvesting to be performed in a single pass. The MLK foliage cutter features horizontally rotating blades that cut the crop's foliage.
